We can visit your pets as many times in a day as you need. Cats should be seen at least once every 24 hours – twice if you like/need. Dogs, of course, need a minimum of 2 visits per day if you are out of town.
Pet sitters at Home But Not Alone Pet Care are bonded and insured. Please don’t ask us to share pet care responsibility with anyone (neighbor, friend, family, etc.) as it becomes a liability issue.
To give your house the lived-in look while you’re gone, the following are always included with out-of-town trips:
- Bring in mail, newspapers, packages
- Water Houseplants
- Adjust curtains, blinds, lights, tv, radio
- Trash and recycling to curb on appropriate day
- And any special requests you might have; for example, filling your wild bird feeders, watering outdoor plants within reason

We’ll walk your dog(s), clean the litter box, feed and water your pets, clean crates, administer oral meds and insulin injections, brush their coats, and give lots of love and rubs.

Get-to-Know-You Visit – $28.00
(then this $28 is applied as a credit toward your first service)
We come to your home to meet you and your pets. Paperwork is completed telling us everything we need to know about your furry, feathered, and gilled kids. You provide 2 keys so we are able to enter your house. If you allow us to retain your keys for future services, you will not need to pick your keys after service nor deliver them before the next service. We don’t leave the keys inside your house after the last visit since you may be delayed and then we wouldn’t be able to get back inside.

Special Services
$10.00 per half-hour or fraction
Charged for time and gas if you don’t have enough kitty litter, food, meds, etc. for the duration of your trip and it is necessary for us to purchase more; if your pet needs to go to the vet while you are gone, etc.

Payment for service is due in advance by cash or check.
Get-to-Know-You Visit – due at end of visit

Any Length of Trip – Total for trip due first day of trip
We are unable to refund cancellations if less than 48 hour notice, or early trip returns.
There is an additional fee of $5.00 per visit on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day.
Lexi was a favorite at the shelter where her Mom volunteers. Tears of happiness were shed by the employees and other volunteers when Kelly took the 2-year old Lexi home. Lexi wound up at Animals in Distress because someone threw her out of a moving vehicle. She landed on her face and subsequently lost both eyes. She quickly learned her way around her new home and made fast friends with the other 3 cats in the household. Her favorite thing to do is lounge in her box. Thanks to Pet Parents like Kelly, Lexi now has a very happy life.
